Yoga Surf Camps are a success!
Here are some pictures of our first yoga surf camp. There will be two others coming up on July 20th and July 27th. These ones are FREE and all ages are welcome, but reservations are a must. If you'd like to come please call 407-790-1944. Yoga Surf School
My wife and I have recently started a surf & yoga school, probably the newest and only one, in Cocoa Beach which we are really excited and enthusiastic about!
We offer 1hr, 2hr, and all day classes which include surf instruction, yoga, lunch, and photography for hotel guests on the beach or anywhere they'd like to meet, and we also offer board rentals and bike rentals for the rest of your stay. We are going to be setting up a regular meeting place and time where we can meet once a week on the weekend to offer free 1 time classes to new people. I'm still trying to find a hotel or place which I can make this type of arrangement with.
If any of you guys know someone who is interested in this, please have them contact me at (407)-790-1944. We are also looking to get into some of the hotels and to spread the word around, so more people can join in on the fun.

Premier of Dust, Resin, Water- a documentary about the world of surfboard shaping
Come support local filmer/ filmmaker Troy Cryder and also Surfrider and the Cocoa Beach Surf Museum. Its going to be a great event!
Premieres June 21st, 7pm at the Cocoa Beach Playhouse. which is at 301 Ramp Rd. in Cocoa Beach.
$5 movie/surfboard raffle tickets to benefit Cocoa Beach Surfrider, and there will also be an after party at the Surfhouse Café, with $1 raffles for (DVDs, CDs, Poster, Tshirts) whose raffle profits will go to the Cocoa Beach Surf Museum . $1 raffle tickets are for the after party only.
All of the raffle tickets for the surfboard/movie tickets sales go to Surfrider. Also If you'd like to buy a copy of the movie it will be available for sale at both events.

International Surfing Day is coming up!
The Sebastian Inlet Chapter Surfrider is holding an event for June 22 - International Surfing Day at Ocean Ave Park In Melbourne Beach. All day long, activities include giveaways and free surf lessons for kids. I'm sure they will have hotdogs and drinks, and will update soon as I know more. Sounds like its going to be a blast to who ever decides to come! ( this is for the Sebastian inlet chapter).

Melbourne Beach, FL 32951
This is the park at the east end of OA in Mel Beach, the city calls it Ocean Park.
6/22, starting with a beach clean up at 9 am. More info on is on the surfrider fb page https://www.facebook.com/SurfriderSI.
There will also be a pre ISD surf day party at Coasters the evening of the 19th . Come to that to help Surfrider get things started or just show up for the event.

Time: 9am-1pm
Activities: Dumpster paintings, painting stakes, Free surf lessons provided by SBS, Hawaii style paddle out and memorial, free surf, Pot luck BBQ, from 9-1.
You don't have to be a member to go, but if you'd like to support Surfrider by becoming a member the membership cost is around $20 a year and it goes towards keeping our beaches clean!
There are also going to be giveaways, contests and prizes!

Surfers for Autism
Surfers For Autism surf event is being held today from 9am-4pm at Lori Wilson park. If you want to go check it out at http://surfersforautism.org/ . Its a really cool event for kids with special needs who want to learn how to surf. I will try and post some pictures after the event is over.
One of my good friends Sandy volunteered in the event and was there all day long helping out teaching kids to surf. That's him standing on the back steering the surfboard. If you're looking on taking surf lessons, he's the guy to learn from. He's keeps you super positive and motivated the entire time. If you'd like to checkout his website, Sandy Beach Surfing and book a lesson. Don't forget to tell him I sent you there.

Looking for tour guides in Cocoa Beach
Sorry, I've been really busy and haven't had a chance to update the blog lately. Since its something new, I just started, I am still trying to figure out, but I'm making progress. I am looking to write reviews, make posts and add links to other blogs or websites.
I want other people to be able to comment on reviews and also write their own on here, as long as its related to Cocoa Beach.
